Dear Mama: You Are Stronger Than You Think

It starts in the quiet moments when you see those two pink lines. It begins with the hopes, dreams, worries, and excitement that suddenly fill your heart. It grows with every appointment, every kick, every sleepless night, and every sacrifice you make long before your little one arrives.

Dear Mama, if no one has told you lately, you are stronger than you think.

Pregnancy is beautiful, but let's be honest, it can also be hard. There are days when you don't feel like yourself. Days when you're exhausted, uncomfortable, emotional, and wondering if you're doing everything right. You may look in the mirror and notice all the changes happening to your body and struggle to recognize the woman staring back at you. That’s why you deserve an experience to capture these moments. Where you feel and look incredible!

They don't see the stretch marks, the swollen feet, or the tired eyes. They see a woman creating life. They see courage, sacrifice, and unconditional love. They see a mother already putting someone else's needs before her own.

That is strength.

Strength isn't always loud. Sometimes it looks like getting out of bed when you're exhausted. Sometimes it looks like showing up for your family when you're running on little sleep. Sometimes it looks like trusting your body to do something incredible, even when you're scared.

Every day you are growing a tiny human, your body is performing miracles that most people will never fully understand.

And yet, so many mothers underestimate their own power.

You are stronger than the doubts that creep into your mind.

You are stronger than the fears about labor, delivery, and motherhood.

You are stronger than the voice that tells you you're not enough.

Because the truth is, your baby doesn't need perfection.

Your baby needs you.

The way you laugh.

The way you talk to them before they're even born.

The way your heart already loves them more than words can describe.

Years from now, your child won't remember whether you felt confident every day. They won't remember if your hair was perfect or if you fit into your favorite jeans right away.

They will remember your love.

One of the reasons I believe maternity photography is so important is because it gives mothers a chance to pause. In the middle of all the planning, preparing, and worrying, it creates a moment to celebrate what their body is accomplishing.

It's a reminder that this chapter matters too.

One day, your baby will look at those photographs and see where their story began. They will see the woman who carried them, protected them, and loved them before she ever met them.

And hopefully, when you look at those images years from now, you'll see what everyone else sees today.
