My Life As A Photographer | Shreveport, Louisiana Newborn Photographer
Sometimes I have to stop and really think about how lucky I am. This is my life.
I get to pick up a camera and call it my job. I get to meet incredible people, photograph beautiful families, snuggle newborn babies, celebrate motherhood, capture milestones, and help women feel confident and beautiful.
And somehow, this is the dream I get to live every day.
It isn't always easy. There are long days. There are emails, social media, planning, cleaning the studio, answering messages, organizing galleries, learning new things, and all of the behind-the-scenes work that nobody sees.
Being a photographer isn't just showing up with a camera and taking pretty pictures.
There is a whole business behind it. But even on the crazy days, I wouldn't trade this life.
One of my favorite parts of being a photographer is the people I meet.
Every family who walks through my studio doors brings their own story. Every mom has a different journey. Every baby has their own little personality. Every woman who steps in front of my camera has her own reason for being there.
And I get the privilege of being trusted with those moments. That means more to me than I can put into words.
I'm Thankful for Every Single Client
Every booking matters.
Every referral matters.
Every kind message matters.
Every person who shares my work, recommends me to a friend, comments on a post, or comes back for another session is helping me continue to do what I love.
You may think you're just booking a photography session.
But for me, you're allowing me to continue living a dream that I worked incredibly hard to build.
And I am so incredibly grateful.
Is It Perfect? Absolutely Not.
There are days when running a photography business feels overwhelming.
There are days when I wear every hat imaginable.
Photographer.
Business owner.
Editor.
Marketing person.
Customer service.
Social media manager.
Cleaner.
Planner.
And sometimes therapist to myself. 😂
But then I walk into my studio.
I pick up my camera.
I see a beautiful family in front of me.
I hold a tiny newborn.
I watch a woman look at herself differently after a boudoir session.
And I remember exactly why I started.
This is what I was meant to do.
Thank You for Letting Me Live My Dream
To every person who has trusted me with their memories…thank you.
This might be one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
A maternity session turns into a newborn session.
A newborn grows into a milestone session.
That milestone session turns into family pictures.
And sometimes, years later, I'm photographing another pregnancy or another baby.
Getting to watch families grow in front of my camera is something I will never take for granted.
There is something incredibly special about a client choosing you again and again.
It reminds me that what I'm creating means something beyond the photographs.
