Shreveport, Louisiana Maternity Photographer | Kassie's Maternity Session

I remember Kassie came to me for a boudoir session over a year ago. I could see how excited she was to do something for herself. Her session turned out AMAZING! We even joked around because she said she wanted another child. She mentioned how she loved the artwork on my walls because she never got the chance to do maternity and newborn with any of her other children. Jokingly I said, “I can’t wait to see you pregnant.” Little did I know, she would be messaging me a few months later that was expecting. I was thrilled to be able to provide another experience for her. I am always honored when a client returns! Plus, boudoir ties into maternity and newborn very well.

This was Kassie’s first time for maternity portraits so she didn’t have any ideas going into the session. We are always able to get a variety. I love she wanted to embrace her belly and do fine art nude portraits. She definitely trusted me to put together several sets. Every time they would say I love this one or this one is beautiful will never get old. I am glad I get to see their reaction and be a HUGE part of their journey.

Kassie originally met David in Virginia after she left New York but she’s originally from Texas where she has been living for the last almost 6 years. I told her she definitely took an adventure to get back here. Hearing their story is always unique. No two clients have the same story. I love hearing where they are from, how they grew up, and how they met.

David was thrilled at his dress throw. I have to say, he was a pro. I love how he would just admire Kassie and talk about how beautiful she is. It melted my heart to see the love these two had at their maternity session. At the ordering, “he said we already know Kristina says 30 minutes but mean an hour.” He knows me too well already. That or he knows how much I talk. LOL. I loved all the ones they chose and I know it was hard because the gallery was pretty big. I swear we laughed so much during this session.

Her family was such a blast to work with. Samantha smiled the entire time with a few funny faces in the middle. Killian was also super excited to have a baby brother since he has two sisters. Kassie said she felt like he was a he. It was funny because she said she always wanted a two boys and two girls. Her oldest daughter does live far but that’s no problem. When she came in, we took some for me to composite after the newborn session. So they can have portraits of their whole family together. I can’t wait until he gets here so we can do the newborn session.

We are BOOKING INTO 2023!
