Shreveport, Newborn Photographer | Elijah's Newborn Session

BROOKE! Look at this beautiful mother. I originally met her when I shot her maternity and newborn session with her daughter. Since then, she has graduated and now expecting a little boy. How exciting? I say it a lot but I am always excited to see returning clients. They are truly my friends. We get to catch up and explore new adventures together. For Brooke’s first session, I wasn’t offering makeup and hair or a variety of gowns. She expressed how excited she was for the full experience. She even said, “where do I go for makeup and hair?” She was shocked to learn everything is done in studio. How convenient is that? I know she works extremely hard so she didn’t have to lift a figure for her maternity session.

How cute are these two? Autumn has grown up so much. She did not hesitate when I asked her to hold bubba. It was the sweetest thing to watch them connect. She laughed and wanted to snuggle him. She was excited the entire time for photographs.

Elijah looked cute in all the set ups. He loved being wrapped and even gave me a little smile. Mom wanted to match colors from her maternity and for his nursery.

At ordering, Brooke couldn’t choose between the variety. I loved getting to see Elijah because he already looked bigger from his newborn session. He was such a cutie! He looked like a little doll. Mom chose almost all the photographs from the newborn session. I can’t say I blame her because they turned out so perfect. Especially the sibling and parent shots.

I can’t wait to see their beautiful artwork. I just know it’s going to be so beautiful in their home next to their maternity artwork. They even got artwork when Autumn was little. I can’t wait to see the collage on their wall from when Autumn was little till now. She is so gentle, patient, and caring. She has grown into a beautiful little girl.

Bubba wasn't having it at first. So we did something else then came back to table poses. He was impressed then! Some babies don't like certain poses and that's okay. Sometimes you have to do a different workflow.

Please don't worry though! I know some think their little one will sleep the entire time or they want them too. It's normal for them to be awake and that's why I do different soothing techniques. Remember, I am moving your little one, posing, feeding, and changing. I work on their time! Plus, we all love awake shots.

That is why an experienced professional is SO important. Afterall, this is your little one.

A professional will have patience and understanding.

They will care for you and your family. Instead of just trying to rush the session to get it over. (I love the snuggles).

They will know soothing techniques to calm your little one down.

They will know the cues for when baby is hungry or not liking the pose.

They won't force any thing.

They will have hands on baby or a spotter beside baby.

They know certain poses have to be a composite.

BOOKING INTO 2023.
