Shreveport, Louisiana Newborn Photographer | Kennedy's Newborn Session

There’s something incredibly special about photographing a family as they grow but nothing compares to the honor of being invited back to capture a second baby.

When a family reaches out to say they’re expecting again and want me to document this new chapter, it stops me in my tracks every time. In a world full of choices, talented photographers, and endless inspiration on social media, they choose to come back to me. That is never lost on me.

The first time I photographed this family was special. She said she knew she wanted to use me and no one else. That will always mean the most to me. I have known Brittany half of my life. So she is also a friend. Seeing how grateful she was is amazing. I loved seeing her reaction when she saw her photographs.

Invited into the family story not just for a chapter, but for the sequel.

As a photographer, trust means everything. When families return, it tells me they felt seen. They felt cared for. They felt their memories were handled gently and intentionally. That trust is something I hold with deep gratitude.

The same parents. A new baby. A new dynamic. Time passing in the most tangible way.

It reminds me why I do this.

Photography isn’t just about beautiful images. It’s about legacy. It’s about freezing the fleeting. It’s about honoring the quiet, everyday miracles that will one day feel like “the good old days.”

Thank you for trusting me again. Thank you for allowing me to witness your growth. Thank you for letting me be a small part of your story.

Watching your families grow is one of the greatest gifts of my career.

And I will never stop being grateful for that.
