Shreveport, Louisiana Newborn Photographer | Darcy's Newborn Session

I remember when Lawson was the size of his sister! Now I can’t believe he’s two. It went by so fast. I am honored Anita reached out for me to capture her maternity and newborn session again! It is always a blast to see returning clients. Some people tell me you don’t know how fast it goes until you have one of your own. However, I feel that way about my clients. When they reach out for a milestone session, I am like no way? It is always time for their first birthday session? It flew by. Watching him with his baby sister makes my heart so happy. I just know they will be bestfriends.

Darcy was awake majority of her newborn session. I know parents think their little one will sleep the entire session but sometimes it doesn’t plan out like that. I always follow the baby’s mood. I promise them being awake doesn’t matter. I mean look at the eye contact? She had the cutest little eyes. I love how she just wanted to look around to see what I was up to.

Mom definitely wanted all the girl colors this time. She didn’t get portraits with Lawson so this time she wanted to be in some! I always encourage family shots for newborn sessions. You never want to look back and regret not being in a few. Trust me, I know you may feel tired or not the same after your little one. You carried such a precious joy and it can be draining. Let’s make the most of it. You can get makeup and hair while relaxing at your newborn session.

It made me so happy Anita wanted to wear the same gown for her newborn session. It is always amazing to coordinate sessions so they match. She was thankful she got in some because they turned out beautiful. She said the laying down one was her absolute favorite. You honestly can never have too many family portraits. Especially being your first since your little one, it is important. They only stay little for a little while!
