Shreveport, Louisiana Photographer | Asher's Newborn Session

Asher was such a handsome little boy. He wanted to party at first but eventually gave up. I think he loved the little outfit. They are so cozy and warm. I remember when Ana reached out for the first time. She was referred by someone who spoke highly of me. Hearing that always makes me excited. I have so many amazing supporters/clients. She had expressed how important these were for her because Asher was a little miracle baby. I can relate so much to her story. It touched my heart to see how excited she was at the ordering. It makes my job that much better. Giving families art they can have forever is life changing.

HOW GORGEOUS ARE THEY?

You should have seen how excited they were to hold bubba. They would kiss him and snuggle him. Plus look at all that red. I don’t get children who have red hair often. The green and tan backdrop really made it stand out. I am so happy for Ana and her family. I can tell how amazing they are. Dad never failed to make me laugh either.

“When we were choosing a name for this baby, we had read about Asher in the Bible. It is Hebrew and means “happy & blessed”. This fully encompasses what Asher means to us. He is our third baby, but our 6th pregnancy. Before him, I had an ectopic pregnancy, resulting in emergency surgery and losing an ovary and a tube. After that, we had a miscarriage and another ectopic pregnancy. Since losing the first baby, our son Sawyer would pray every day “God, if it’s your will, please put another baby in Mama’s belly”. When we were pregnant with Asher the doctor told us “this truly is a miracle baby”. We are so incredibly thankful God has blessed us with another child to steward through this world.”

Look at all the beautiful colors. Mom wanted more neutrals but sent me a bunch of photographs she saved. I loved she had an album with my photographs. Shows me how much she truly valued and loved my art. They especially loved the eye contact photographs. Families always think they are the cutest with their little eyes open. Dad was in love and even said how beautiful they are multiple times. Seeing their reactions will never get old to me.

Ana expressed how much she loved every one. She loved all the poses and said she felt beautiful in the family photographs. At the ordering she said, “can you just pose me like this all the time?” That’s awesome to hear. I want the mothers to feel comfortable and beautiful. It is actually something that will stick with them. It’s not just a in the moment thing. Ana deserved to treat herself and feel beautiful. She is seriously beautiful inside and out. I loved getting to know them.
