Shreveport, Louisiana Newborn Photographer | Emme's Newborn Session

Christina reached out to me when her little one was three weeks. She was worried she would not be able to get a newborn session. Her husband actually convinced her to reach out to someone. Funny story, I had a Kristina the same weekend as Christina. However, Christina was also buying a home and the floor plan was named Christina. It was almost meant to be! I wasn’t able to get Emme in the studio until seven weeks. Luckily I had a last minute opening because this family really melted my heart. Hearing how excited they were made me even more excited. She did not get a newborn session with the first two children. So this session was very important to them.

Don’t let Emme fool you, she LOVED to be wrapped. Mom was so excited at the ordering. She was doing Zoey’s hair so she didn’t see all the set ups we did. It was like a surprise for her. I remember her saying, “I thought I had to do something or you needed help but you’re the baby whisper.” When we discussed the session via phone when she booked, she mentioned her little one was whiny. She was worried the session wouldn’t go smooth. The reality is, I work on baby’s time. All babies are different. Some like certain poses, some need more milk, some even just need more cuddles. I love letting them take the lead because we get even more unique shots for the family.

Just hearing how much this family has overcame in the last couple of years is inspiring. I can’t even imagine some of the things they have gone through. Despite it all, they are such a strong family. I can see the determination in Christina’s eyes. She is an entrepreneur and very passionate about her family. I honestly look up to her! Hearing her story truly touched me. She showed me to ask questions and take opportunities even if you are uncomfortable. Never give up on what you truly believe in.

Christina was very hesitant about being in any of the photos. I knew she wouldn’t regret it though. I am so glad she decided to put on one of my gowns. These family photographs are going to look amazing in their new home. Congratulations again! I can’t wait to show them their beautiful wall art. <3

Mom laughed about this shot for a few minutes. Haha! I loved all the facial expressions. A the ordering, she didn’t even realize how many different poses we got. It was hard for her to narrow them down and I don’t blame her one bit. Her family is absolutely precious!
