Shreveport, Louisiana Newborn Photographer | Ava's Newborn Session

Louisiana Photographer | Shreveport, Louisiana Photographer

The best part about Leslie is she talked just as much as me. I remember talking to her on the phone and we connected immediately. She is also in the military and her bravery inspires me. When we first talked on the phone, she was down south helping after the hurricane. Last year and this year, I have gotten the chance to meet so many amazing military clients. Ava’s dad also used to serve! It is so special to me because my great grandfather is 93 and served in the Air Force. So it’s dear to my heart. Through all the sacrifices, they deserve all the appreciation.

When they came to the studio located in Shreveport, Louisiana, they did not have any expectations. They let me have freedom and you know what that means.. I use all the colors. Haha! She had the cutest little smirk. She loved to do it every time I put the camera down. She was definitely sneaky. We had to do the red since it was close to Valentine’s Day. She looked so cute in the red wrap. Her skin complexion was almost silk like. Of course details are important!

Look how precious her facial expressions were! I think she was telling me haha I am awake. They definitely knew they wanted to incorporate her uniform in a photograph. I couldn’t be any more thrilled to do it. At the end of the day, this is your newborn session. You should be able to bring sentimental items to have photographs forever. Remember, these babies are only little for a little while. Wait until they get older and get to cherish all of their photographs. Products also get passed down generation to generation. It’s an investment that last a lifetime.

So many beautiful colors! Ava looked amazing on the brown fur, pink set up, and blue. I think mom melted at every single one. She even mentioned, “wow you really do a variety, how am I going to choose?” At the ordering, Leslie and Chris had the hardest time to choose. I don’t blame them though! She was too snuggly. If it was my baby, I would have a hard time too. They ended up purchasing half the gallery. They could not get rid of anymore. That just means I did my job! It is always a good thing to see parents say, “black and white or color?” “This one or this one.” “Oh this is harder than I thought.” I love getting to see my clients reactions. That is one of my favorite parts!

That blanket was passed down to Chris. His grandmother made it! See what I mean? That is truly magical. My great grandmother who passed away used to sew sentimental items. Their session made my heart melt.

I told them to bring both because I wanted to see the difference. I can’t lie, I fell in love with white. Typically I am not a fan of the color white. However, it really made them stand out. They chose a brown wrap to match their home since it was neutral. Family shots are some of the sweetest! Of course they are my client’s favorite. That is why I don’t charge an additional fee for them. Can you believe she was a little hesitant about doing them too? Always trust me and the process. I promise you will fall in love being your baby’s first portraits. Leslie saw the black and white back lit photograph and the silk layer one on my website. She knew right then she needed family photographs. It is always a plus to look at my website and send me some that you would love at your session! You want to be sure to get all the shots you love.

It is never too early to book your belly to baby collection! Booking into September 2022!
